Welcome to Year 2! Here you will find information about what we get up to during our time at school. 

Our School Day 

8:40 - 9:00 - Registration & Morning Work

9:00 - 9:15 - Mastering Number

9:15 - 9:35 - Phonics

9:35 - 10:25 - English or Maths

10:30 - 10:45 - Assembly

10:45 - 11:00 - Playtime

11:00 - 11:50 - English or Maths

11:50 - 1:00 - Lunchtime

1:00 - 1:10 - Handwriting

1:10 - 1:30 - Guided Reading

1:30 - 3:00 - Wider Curriculum

3:00 to 3:15 - Storytime

3:15 - Hometime 

Homework 

In Year 2 children receive homework every Friday which is posted on Google Classroom, along with weekly spellings. Their login for these can be found on the first page of their Reading Diary. We ask that parents read 4 times a week at home with their child so that their child can move up on their class Reading Race to receive a reward. 

The children also have access to Numbots which they can access at home.
