A very warm welcome to all of the families that will be joining us in September. Choosing the right school for your child is a big step, and we're so pleased you are joining Scargill Infant School. We understand what an important decision this is for you and your family, and we are delighted that your child will begin their learning journey with us.

Nursery Intake September 2026

Our Nursery currently runs term time only and we welcome children from the term after they have turned 3. 

For children that are eligible for the 15 hour place, they can do 5 morning sessions or 5 afternoon sessions for the week. Children that are eligible for the 30 hour place are eligible to stay with us for the morning and afternoon sessions everyday. Lunch is available daily for an extra cost.  To check if you are eligible for a 30 hour place please go to http://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. 

Our session times are as follows. 

8.45am Start of the Morning Session

11.45am End of the Morning Session

11.45 to 12.15pm Lunchtime 

12.15 Start of the Afternoon Session

3.15pm End of the Afternoon Session
